 Ordained in 1950, Fr. Calais served at St. Peter’s in New Iberia, St. John’s in Melville, St. Theresa in Abbeville and St. Edwards Church in Richard. In Lafayette he served at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral, St. Genevieve and Holy Cross, and served as Chaplain at Charity Hospital. He “retired” in 1994, but remains very active, serving on the staff at Sacred Heart in Broussard.
